I just discovered recently that there are a couple of photos that show me from my days at Cambridge where, with my Physics colleague Dave Wylie and others, we got permission to form an eight to compete in the May Bumps. We didn’t make any bumps, but the boat club that we started has gone on to become one of the most successful boat clubs in the university.
