Miranda here. We ordered food from Nan’s, and I ate a whole chicken sandwich – the most I’ve eaten for a while. I watched England beat Norway 2-1, then Argentina beating Switzerland 3-1. The Swiss put up a good fight – I wouldn’t normally consider them a footballing country, but times have changed and players come from all over. I found myself watching the game on my phone, actually understanding it a bit more, such as how a side mounts an attack in the hopes of finding a gap in the defensive line. I still don’t spot all the offsides however and have a hard time distinguishing a foul from a legitimate tackle.
